FAQ

Q: How long does it take to design and build a website and where do we start?
A: Before the design process can begin, I will arrange a meeting with you. In this meeting we will discuss all your requirements from design to development. Once I have established your needs, I will produce a quote, proposal and timeline.

Q: Where is my website stored and how do I obtain a domain name?
A: You may already have your own domain name (www.) and somewhere to store your website (hosting). If you haven’t, it’s usually best for me to find you the perfect package. Whether you have hosting or not, I will configure everything to get your website up and running.

Q: Can I have my own e-mail address (me@mydomain.com)?
A: Of course you can! Most hosting packages come with a number of mailboxes which can be customised to work with your favourite e-mail client (Gmail, MacMail, your iPhone etc).

Q: Will you back up my website or other digital files?
A: Yes! Your website and digital files (images etc) are backed-up once the project has been completed. This allows me to quickly re-launch the website if anything goes wrong (which is rare). If your website is updated on a regular basis, we will need to discuss your backing-up requirements in the initial meeting.
